Dr. Mikkilineni earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard University. She completed medical school at the University of Michigan, where she also received a Master in Business Administration, followed by an internship and ophthalmology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI.
She then went on to a two-year fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) at the Casey Eye Institute, Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, OR.
Dr. Mikkilineni specializes in disorders of the eyelid, orbit and surrounding facial structures including all areas of reconstructive, functional and cosmetic eyelid and facial surgery as well as tear duct and orbital surgery. She also performs Botox treatments, laser skin resurfacing and facial fillers. Dr Mikkilineni is also active in teaching and mentoring medical students and ophthalmology residents.
She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. She is affiliated with multiple hospitals throughout the Southeast Michigan area including Beaumont Royal Oak, St Mary Mercy Livonia and DMC. She also performs surgery at multiple outpatient surgical facilities in the metro Detroit and Flint areas.
Dr. Mikkilineni is a Michigan native and outside of work, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her friends and family.
